A disgruntled employee. Who must remain anonymous, was so disgusted, that they decided to smuggle out,at great risk to themselves, a top secret memo. That so far has only been seen by a few top executives at O Brienair.

1 A new surcharge, for any passenger traveling with emotional baggage.Passengers will be asked to answer truthfully, if they have ever had an unhappy childhood, divorce proceedings,ect.
2 A new surcharge for occupying a window or aisle seat. With an extra surcharge for window seat passengers who wish to open the blinds to look out of the window. This does not apply to the pilot and co-pilot. As they need to look out of the window to land the aircraft safely.
3 Toilet paper and paper towels are to be charged per sheet,plus a new charge for each press of the soap dispenser.But we are delighted to announce that all sick bags are now free of charge.But we may not be able to to keep subsidising this service for ever. So use it or lose it.
4 A new surcharge to use the overhead luggage racks, for all hand luggage. But you can now rent out space in the luggage racks, by the hour. See the stewardess before you board the aircraft.
5 O Brienair would like to announce. Unless passengers pay a small surcharge. It is no longer financially viable, to load and unload, passengers suitcases onto the plane. Starting from next month, passengers must place their own luggage into the aircraft hold.And unload it at their final destination. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have a history of back problems, and can provide a genuine doctors note to confirm this.This surcharge will be waived. But there will be a small fee to cover administration costs.
6 A new plane departure tax. All passengers who leave the aircraft by the stairs or air-bridge, at the front of the aircraft must pay this tax. You may opt out of this tax by proceeding to the rear of the aircraft where down below, on the tarmac, O Brienair staff will be holding out a blanket for you to jump into. It is customary to leave a tip for this service. But to save you the time and effort, we have added a small service charge to your final invoice. Dont worry, all tips are passed on to the staff, and they will receive them in their next pay packet.After deductions for uniform, training,ect.
7 Starting next year as soon as our staff are fully trained,we will be introducing our new in flight entertainment programme. O Brienair staff will be mingling with the passengers. and for a small fee, cracking hilarious jokes.or spinning you incredible stories, tales, and yarns. But the good news is. I have tried to contact Michael o Brien, but he refused to comment. But an industry insider who refused to be named said. This is a typical Michael o Brien stunt. He has probably leaked this document himself to the press,to try and gauge public opinion.And to soften the blow, for when he does introduce these disgusting charges.

I feel the urge to share with you this funny and somehow scary story.
I did choose to travel to Bangkok on the 18th, June and return to Phuket on 20th, June. I did not realize that I made an error during the online booking process. The return e-ticket was issued with the return trip to Phuket on the 18th instead of 20th June.
I checked in at Phuket airport to go to Bangkok on the 18th, right after the check-in process, I was asked if I like to check in for my return flight Bangkok-Phuket and I said yes! I was happy to receive this service. I received a boarding pass for Bangkok-Phuket which I did not bother to check my boarding pass.
On the 20th, June late evening, I arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport for my trip back to Phuket and did go straight through the whole security process. (I had my boarding pass issued in Phuket). The security guard checked my boarding pass and my passport to ensure all are correct. (I know well they never check anything, they just do what they are told to do which is 5.. Cjust make a mark on the boarding pass with your penD
At the X-Ray machine area, I watched the person in front of me who was asked to remove his trouser belt but he did NOT have to remove his Notebook Computer! Strangely I had to remove the computer but nobody bothered about my trouser belt! He shook his head and so I did5. but I know well about the inefficiency of this airport security so I kept my comment to myself.
I did go straight to the gate, and boarded the plane after my boarding pass and passport have been checked again. If I remember right, I did sit a K 18 or K 19 seat.
There was one Gentleman claiming that I was sitting on his seat. I proudly show my boarding pass with seat number to the gentleman and the very observant crew, the crew apologized to us saying that there must be an error. As the plane is only half full, the crew offered the other person to sit wherever he wants.
About 10 minutes later which is closed to take-off, the crew discovered that I did go through all the security processes and boarded a plane on the 20th, June with a boarding pass issued for a flight on the 18th June. So in summary, I made it with an out-dated boarding pass through all security checks at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Since the plane was only half full, it could well have been that nobody ever would know that I was on this plane5. What if I would be a Terrorist!!

Jet Airways Launches Another Masterpiece

Jet Airways has launched an all-economy low fare service called Jet Airways Konnect on some routes. This initiative has been taken considering the falling load factors on its full service option on those routes.
The on-ground and in-flight service will be dealt by the Jet Airways staff which will include their uniforms and the 9W flight code. Jet will use two Boeing 737-800s and six ATRs for Konnect, which will fly on 19 routes with 54 flights daily across 38 cities.
These routes include Chennai-Coimbatore, Chennai-Madurai, Chennai-Kochi, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Bhopal, Mumbai-Udaipur, Bangalore-Pune and Bangalore-Mangalore.
The routes chosen for Konnect were being operated by Jet Airways at 50 per cent load factor. Research indicated that a low fare product on these routes would see load factor exceed 70 per cent and a passenger increase of about 35 per cent.
JetLite was already operating on a network with seat factors of over 70 per cent which Jet does not want to CdisruptD. CWhat I want is a quick-to-implement rapid and faster solution to a changing market condition which is what Jet Airways Konnect offers,D said an official of Jet Airways.
Further, JetLite and Jet Airways Konnect have common features in terms of being priced at a low fare carrier level (for the economy class), buying meals on-board and earning miles on the Jet Privilege membership.

Not necessarily! Just because a flight school offers an CacceleratedD flight training course does NOT mean you will finish in less time. Fact: The FAA requires minimum flight training, flight experience, and ground theory training before a person is eligible to attempt the required final testing for a pilot certificate or rating. For example, The FAA requires 40 hours of total flight and training experience before attempting the final test. However, the national average flight training time to earn a private pilot is closer to 70 hours! Why?!? Here are a few reasons.

E No or little study before training begins. This is mainly for accelerated courses because the more you can learn before hand will let you concentrate on learning to fly. I do not recommend nor do I begin any accelerated flight training until any required written tests and medical exams are completed first. I also have my students pre-study the flight training syllabus sequence of events and read through all study materials first before the first day of training. Using a computer based flight simulator is also a great way to prepare before flight training begins just by flying around and having fun. I also recommend a series of self taught lessons using computer based simulation before training. Preparation is the biggest time and money saver by far!
E There are many more reasons but these are the biggest by far.

E Accelerated flight training can let you reach your goals in less time! The average training time an CacceleratedD student is closer to 50 hours. 20 hours of training at $200/hr will buy a lot of hamburgers! The average for my students is closer to 40 hours only because the FAA wonBt let my students take the final test earlier! This is mainly due to flight schools that jump on the CacceleratedD band wagon for some easy cash drawing in students, giving them to instructors that may be good but improperly trained to handle an efficient Accelerated Flight Training course, the student doesnBt finish in the time allowed/paid for, and extending time and money to complete training. This drives the average time up to the 50s. There are very few reasons why a properly screened and prepared student cannot finish by the FAA mandatory 40 hour mark with a well designed and well executed accelerated flight training course.
E Learning and retention of skills and knowledge can be greatly enhanced with Accelerated Flight Training. Many with a bad experience (students and instructors) argue otherwise however I have first hand experience of teaching many students both CtraditionalD (2-3 days/week) and CacceleratedD (focused and efficient) and I can attest that there is much less flight and ground review necessary just before final test time for the accelerated students in every case. Retention for the long term depends solely on the pilot to keep learning and keeping skills sharp regardless of what kind of flight training they used to achieve their goals.

As long as you can schedule a time away from the world while you train the learning and retention skyrockets contributing to a safer pilot.
What to look for in Accelerated Flight Training:
E An experienced instructor experienced with accelerated flight training. Also, make sure the school does not intend to switch instructors on you except when absolutely necessary! Finding experienced instructors is not easy these days let alone experienced in accelerated flight instruction.
E A time of the year or physical location with good weather that will not interrupt your training!
E A school that offers a pre-training course and materials AND makes it mandatory to complete any required written tests and medical checkouts BEFORE lessons begin!
E Make sure the flight school has more than one aircraft of the same make and model that you will be training in so that routine or unexpected maintenance does not extend your schedule. The school only needs two aircraft to minimize this potential slow down.
E Make sure the flight school has some kind of flight simulation capability in case there are no fly days. Simulators do not have to be state of the art full cockpit sims. Simple desktop computer simulators all work great when used properly with an experienced instructor. Communications, procedures, and aeronautical decision making are just a few things that can be learned and re-enforced using simulation.

We had booked 2 camps due to the size of the group, one of the campsites was at the beach and the other one was up at the road. The camps were at a beautiful location, with mountains all around you and the river on one side moving with a thunderous noise.
